Brown Sugar and Bacon Baked Beans

(from an unknown kitchen)

Ingredients:
4 cans (15 ounces each) of canned baked beans
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon mustard (yellow or Dijon)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the canned baked beans (with their liquid), brown sugar, ketchup, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir everything together until well combined.

If you’re using chopped onions, stir them into the mixture.

Pour the bean mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish or a similar-sized oven-safe dish.

Sprinkle the crumbled bacon evenly over the top of the beans.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the beans are bubbling, and the top is lightly browned.

Remove from the oven and let the baked beans cool for a few minutes before serving.
